The parade route for the Bemidji Jaycees Water Carnival Grand Parade on Sunday, July 3, starts at 1:00pm on 15th Street and heads south on Beltrami Avenue. It then turns west on 3rd Street for one block, and then north along Minnesota Avenue until it reaches 15th Street again, where it will come to an end.
The Bemidji Jaycees Water Carnival Red, White, & BOOM! Fireworks Show, on July 4, will be launched from a pontoon barge on Lake Bemidji, off of the Nymore Public Water Access on the lake’s south shore.
The Lake Bemidji Nymore Public Water Access Site will be closed to the public on July 4, 2016, for a full 24 hours. There will be barricades put in place at the entrance to the parking lot of the Nymore Access at midnight on July 4 and will be removed at approximately midnight on July 5. We ask the public to please stay away from this area while the fireworks company, Zambelli Fireworks, sets up the show on the barge. Once the barge has been launched, there will be an 800’ exclusion zone that must be maintained around the barge. The barge will be located in the southeast corner of the lake from approximately 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm. No boats will be allowed to enter the exclusion zone. We ask for the public’s cooperation in this matter to help us maintain a safe show for everyone to enjoy. The Bemidji Jaycees Water Carnival Medallion Hunt starts today, June 24! To win the $500 Grand Prize you must have the GOLD Water Carnival Medallion Button!
